Trade Promotion Authority must be renewed today!

ACC and its members have a significant interest in both the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). Both negotiations involve important “21st century” trade issues (e.g. regulatory cooperation) that have evolved or emerged since the last TPA was passed in 2002. Why TSCA Reform Matters in Delaware:

Our nation’s primary chemicals management law must be updated to keep pace with scientific advancements and to ensure that chemical products are safe for intended use—while also encouraging innovation and protecting American jobs.

TSCA was designed to ensure that products are safe for intended use. While the law created a robust system of regulations, over time, confidence in EPA’s regulation of chemicals has eroded.

Congress must modernize TSCA to ensure product safety and consumer confidence, as well as to preserve America’s role as the world’s leading innovator.
